The major business areas of this part of the Division include gas processing plants and gas field developments, oil refineries and oil field developments, petrochemical plants, fertilizer and chemical plants, oil and gas pipelines, terminals and storage tanks, and LNG liquefaction plants.
The Division has recently completed successfully the SK Energy No.2 FCC Project and is carrying out the Hyundai Oil Bank #2 HOU Project in Korea.
Furthermore, it has been engaged in a broad array of overseas hydrocarbon processing projects, including the Attahady Gas Field Development Project and the Western Libya Gas Project-Mellitah Plant in Libya, the Suban Gas Project Phases 1 & 2 in Indonesia, and the South Pars Phases 2 &3 stage gas treatment facilities in Iran, etc.
It is cementing its global leadership by winning con-tracts for many mega projects, including the Karan Gas Facilities Project in Saudi Arabia and the Habshan-5 Utilities & Offsite Project in the UAE.
These undertakings were awarded based on the successful completion of such previous projects as the South Pars Phases 4 & 5 stage gas treatment facilities in Iran and the Khurais Central Processing Facilities in Saudi Arabia. It also won additional work on Qatar’s QAFCO-6 Project in recognition of the capabilities it demonstrated while carrying out the Qatar Pearl GTL-LPU (C5) Project and the Qatar QAFCO-5 Project.
The Division also carries out such projects as LNG receiving terminals, LNG supply pipelines, multi-purpose water gate facilities, and integrated steel works.
Some of its major undertakings have included the construction of the Incheon LNG receiving terminal, units 11-12 tanks and the Garyeok and Sinsi multi-purpose water gate facilities in Saemangeum.
It is currently working on the construction of the Tongyeong LNG receiving terminal, units 13-14 tanks, the Pyeongtaek LNG receiving terminal, units 20-21 tanks with a capacity of 200,000 KL aboveground LNG storage tank and the Incheon LNG receiving terminal, units 19-20 tanks with a capacity of 200,000 KL in-ground LNG storage tank, as well as LNG supply pipelines throughout the country.
