By doing this, it will attain its goal of becoming a global industry leader, achieving KRW 9.9 trillion in orders received, KRW 5.3 trillion in sales, and 6.4% in operating margins by 2015.
To reach its ambitious goals for orders received and sales by taking advantage of promising new overseas growth opportunities, the Division is participating in Independent Water & Power Production (IWPP) and Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects, develop-ment projects, and power projects in emerging markets in Africa, Central and South America, and the Common-wealth of Independent States (CIS). It is also expand-ing into “green businesses” in the new and renewable energy field, including photovoltaic, wind velocity, and nuclear energy.
In addition, the Division is committed to establishing innovative strategies, developing new technologies, and reinforcing the capabilities that will help it grow into a leading player in these and other future-oriented opera-ting areas.

The Division’s overall vision is to be a “Total Power & Utility Provider,” offering a full range of services, from the construction of power infrastructures to their actual operation.
Hyundai E&C’s operations in this sector began in 1977, when it won a turnkey-basis contract for a thermal power plant in Pyeongtaek--a “first” for the nation.
Hyundai E&C is consolidating its status as the leading player in a wide variety of power projects, including transmission, substations, and industrial electricity, all of which will form the basis for future cutting-edge energy networks.
