The Construction of Residential Buildings in Doan 2-2 District, Daejeon

Hyundai E&C will build 5,329 residential units in Hahak-dong, Daejeon. The project will consist of 51 buildings, ranging from B2 to 35 stories, with an estimated value of approx.1.5 trillion KRW.

The Construction of the Southern Breakwater at Busan's Jinhae New Port

As a leader in port construction, Hyundai E&C has been awarded the project to construct a 1,400-meter breakwater at the forefront of the Jinhae New Port in Busan, planning to integrate smart construction technologies at the site. 

During the design phase, Building Information Modeling(BIM) will be used to manage risks at the site, and during the construction phase, productivity and quality management will be enhanced through the introduction of robotics and AI-based technology services.

** The Backbone of the Breakwater: The Caisson

A caisson is a large hollow concrete structure that plays a critical role in marine and harbor construction. Typically the size of a 12-story apartment building, caissons are manufactured on land and then sunk into the sea, and then filled with dirt or sand to serve as the backbone of harbors and breakwaters. Hyundai E&C has pioneered the factory-style production method for caissons and continuously develops quality management technologies, showcasing unparalleled achievements in the field. Beyond Busan and Ulsan, Hyundai E&C has undertaken major port projects globally, including in Thailand, the UAE, Sri Lanka, and Kuwait, leading the way in marine and harbor construction.
