Hyundai E&C wins Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Council award

Hyundai E&C was awarded the 2020 Innovation Award from Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health(WSH) Council under the Ministry of Manpower(MoM).

The WSH Council award is given to organizations and individuals that contributed to generating excellent performance in the field of industrial safety and health. Three construction sites of Hyundai E&C won the awards in the SHARP Awards category

in 2019. Hyundai E&C has so far received 10 awards from the WSH Council, solidifying our leading position in the global construction industry. This year, the Singapore Tuas Finger 3 reclamation project was recognized for the improvement of construction productivity and quality by changing the large caisson’s concrete coating method from the manual to automatic system. The automatic application system is well received in that it can preclude the risk involved in safety accidents and the exposure of workers to toxic construction materials.

Hyundai E&C received credit for our construction capability and safety management in the global construction industry by winning the Innovation Award this year,” said an official of Hyundai E&C. “We will try our best to play a leading role in the global stage through innovative construction solutions based on our technological prowess.”

Meanwhile, Hyundai E&C has received a total of 90 construction projects valued at about 15 billion dollars such as the Pasir Panjang Terminal 3&4 construction project and the Marina South Complex development project since we entered the Singaporean market in 1981 to conduct the Pulau Tekong landfill project. Currently, Hyundai E&C is carrying out 11 construction projects worth approximately 2.1 billion dollars including the Tuas Finger 3 reclamation project.
