Because the depth of pile driving is usually measured in a manual way, workers are highly likely to have accidents and often generate errors, making it difficult to manage quality of pile driving construction. To solve the problems, Hyundai E&C reviewed a wide range of related technologies and chose the PDAM system of Woori Technology. Under this system, a special barcode is attached to a drop hammer, and a digital level gauge is used to measure and record the depth of pile driving. The measurement data can be sent to workers, managers and supervisors via Bluetooth and a mobile application in real time. The system makes it possible for users to check the depth of pile driving and the work progress in a prompt way.
