 1  Hyundai E&C wins order to redevelop Shaw Tower in Singapore.


2400억원 규모 Shaw Tower 재개발 수주


Hyundai E&C has been awarded an order valued at 202 million dollars, or approximately 240 billion won, to redevelop Shaw Tower in Singapore.

The redevelopment project is designed to transform Shaw Tower whose construction was completed in 1975 into a 32-storey high-end office building and a six-storey community facility. Construction will last for 38 months.

Hyundai E&C will seek to build convenient facilities, community facilities and an outdoor amphitheater in harmony with business space. To satisfy the Singapore’s vision toward the “car-free” city, connectivity with passenger paths, the neighboring government offices and the nearby MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) station will be maximized.

In redeveloping Shaw Tower, Hyundai E&C will focus on use of eco-friendly energy and reduction in energy consumption with the aim to pursue the WELL Certification of the International WELL Building Institute and the BCA Green Mark Scheme of the Singapore’s Building & Construction Authority. The location of Shaw Tower is well known for connecting Marina District, the central area of the city state, and Bugis Street lined with shops targeting younger customers.

Meanwhile, since Hyundai E&C entered the Singaporean market by conducting the Pulau Tekong reclamation project in 1981, we have obtained a total of 91 projects worth 15.2 billion dollars including the Pasir Panjang Terminal project and the Marina South complex development project. Currently, Hyundai E&C is working on 11 civil engineering and building projects valued at 2.1 billion dollars.



 2  Hyundai Hillstate takes 2021 KOVO Cup - Suwon Hyundai E&C Hillstate has reclaimed the champion title by winning the Korean Volleyball Federation (KOVO) Cup.

Hillstate took a confident win by beating GS Caltex (25-23, 25-23, 28-26), winning the final of the women’s KOVO Cup at Uijeongbu Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do on August 29 to claim the club’s fourth cup title. Suwon Hyundai E&C Hillstate last won the KOVO Cup in 2019.

On that day, Jeong Ji-yun led the scoring for Hillstate with 17 points, followed by Yang Hyo-jin with 12 points and Hwang Min-kyeong with 11. Middle blocker Lee Da-hyun scored seven points. Jeong was named MVP for the game while Lee won the Rising Star award. The winning is also attributable partly to the leadership of new manager Kang Sung-hyung. 

Meanwhile, the V League season for this year is scheduled to open on October 16 where seven women’s volleyball teams will play a total of 36 matches.



 3  H Public Art Award 2021 opens.


미술작품 공모전 ‘H 퍼블릭 아트 어워드 2021’ 개최


Hyundai E&C will hold the H Public Art Award 2021 for domestic artists. The Public Art Award 2021, co-hosted by Hyundai E&C and Hyundai Livart, will give capable Korean artists an opportunity to create public artworks to be used for multi-family housing. Any artists who participated in public art installation more than one time can apply for the event independently or on a team. A total of 12 artworks selected will be exhibited at the special exhibition of the International Sculpture Festa 2021 between November 30 and December 7.  4  Hyundai E&C and Samsung C&T Consortium obtains remodeling project.


현대건설·삼성물산 컨소시엄,  금호벽산아파트 리모델링 사업 수주


A consortium consisting of Hyundai E&C and Samsung C&T has won an order to remodel Kumho Byeoksan Apartment on August 28. The remodeling project will aim to turn Kumho Byeoksan Apartment into 21 apartment buildings of 21 floors above ground and five basement levels. The new apartment complex is expected to offer a total of 1,963 household units. The Hyundai E&C and Samsung C&T consortium will reflect the latest housing trends by providing efficient floor plans, cafeterias and private study rooms.
