Hyundai E&C won the GREEN PRODUCT/GRAPHIC DESIGN/PACKAGING category at the US Green GOOD DESIGN Award 2024 in the US for its “H Eye Planter” located at HILLSTATE Yongin Dunjeon Station.

The Green GOOD DESIGN Award is the world's most prestigious green and sustainable design award and is organized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design (USA) and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Submissions from various fields around the world, focusing on sustainable design, undergo a rigorous selection process competing for outstanding eco-friendly architecture, products, and materials. Winning the main award is recognized globally as a benchmark for sustainability, innovation, and impact on the future environment.

Last year, Hyundai E&C garnered two prestigious awards for their sculptural seating wall “H Wave Bench” and the 3D-printed children's play facility “The Moon Playground (3D Printed)” at Bucheon Illumistate. This year, they continued their streak of success by securing awards in the Green Product, Graphic Design, and Packaging categories. This achievement makes Hyundai E&C the first Korean builder to win consecutively for two years in a row.

This year's award-winning piece, “H Eye Planter”, is an installation for planting produced using 3D-printed concrete technology. Positioned in front of a library, it embodies the concept of “Eye”, symbolizing the broadening of one's perspective of the world through books. The structure features curves that are challenging to achieve with concrete, highlighting the fusion of 3D printing technology and eco-friendly materials. This combination has been highly praised for demonstrating the potential to create sustainable and diverse landscape designs.

A representative from Hyundai E&C stated, “This award recognizes Hyundai E&C's sustainable design and eco-friendly technological capabilities. We will continue to utilize 3D printing technology to provide diverse and impressive landscaping spaces, thereby enhancing the quality of residential culture.”
