Hyundai E&C has affirmed its design competitiveness by sweeping the most awards, including the top landscaping prize, at the “K-DESIGN AWARD 2026.”

The K-DESIGN AWARD is an international design competition that evaluates overall quality and uniqueness of space design based on originality, aesthetics, and practicality. In its 15th edition this year, the competition received 2,690 entries from 36 countries worldwide.

Hyundai E&C won a total of eight awards in this competition - ▲one Grand Prize, ▲one Gold Winner, and ▲six Winners - marking the highest number of award-winning entries among Korean builders. The result underscores recognition of Hyundai E&C's design capabilities in bringing together artistry, functionality, and user experience across a diverse range of landscaping spaces.

“Blossom Garden,” the garden at THE H Bangbae, received the Grand Prize, an honor reserved for only the top 0.1% of all entries, securing the highest distinction in the landscaping category. Developed in collaboration with global artist Marc Fornes, the space was highly acclaimed for its distinctive design, which radiates outward in concentric circles from the garden's center, evoking the unfolding petals of a flower.

At THE H Bangbae, a total of four works were selected, including the garden “Garden Whispers” and the playgrounds “Blooming Garden” and “Among the Clouds.” In particular, “Garden Whispers” further demonstrated its outstanding landscape design edge, receiving recognition at this award after being honored in the Show Garden category at the 2025 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) flower show.

At Hillstate Icheon Station, the tea house series “LUNESIA” and “LUANELLE,” designed around the theme of “light,” were named Gold Winner and Winner, respectively. “GUITAR RHYTHM ROAD,” the playground at Hillstate Changwon The First, along with “S.H.A.A,” a participatory public art project co-hosted by Hyundai E&C and Seoul National University's College of Culture and Arts, also received Winner honors, underscoring Hyundai E&C's design excellence and capacity for artistic collaboration.

An official from Hyundai E&C said, "We are delighted to have earned the meaningful distinction of receiving the most awards among Korean builders, along with the top honor in the landscape category, at this prestigious design award," adding, "We will continue to deliver differentiated residential experiences through artworks and spatial designs that enrich our customers' everyday lives."
