The Busan International Finance Center (BIFC) was built as part of the Munhyeon Innovation City development project, with the goal of creating a distinct financial cluster and making Busan one of the leading financial cities in Northeast Asia. The BIFC is 63 stories high, reaching a height of 289 meters, with a total floor area of 197,869㎡. It was designed to symbolize a sailboat embarking on a journey across the five oceans and six continents, representing both the symbolic and dynamic nature of Busan as a financial hub in Northeast Asia. The BIFC houses various public and financial institutions, establishing itself as both a financial hub and a landmark in Busan.
